Some medical titanium plates have different malleability properties due to type of titanium alloy. Sometimes orthopedic titanium will not weld. That was the case with this titanium plate.
The titanium is heated to bend the plate to the correct size. The titanium can either be finished in a high polish or a satin matte finish.
A joiner ring is placed over the seam. The joiner ring was heated to a blue colour, creating depth and interest to the design.
